After playing a woman with neurotic disorder in Chocolate, Sushma Reddy wants to look at the brighter side of her career. Even though a struggler, the glam girl isn't willing to shed clothes for success.
Do you look at new actresses, who are ready to strip at the drop of a hat, as a threat for yourself?
No way. Rather I take it as a good sign that response for sex flicks is on the sliding. After all, for how long can sex films continue to attract viewers? I think it's a positive sign that we have new directors who are making films portraying various social issues and other aspects of life.
Since you sister Sameera is also in the same field, do you see any sibling rivalry?
I don't see any rivalry because when we are at home, we have so many things to discuss with each other than films. We hardly talk about our roles and new offers. There is no question of any rivalry.
With Chocolate getting a mild response at the box office, do you think it was a wrong to decision to debut your career with this film?
The film might not have done very well but my role was appreciated and I got noticed. So, I don't have any regrets. I think in an effort to make the film pacy, many things were chopped off and that's why the end part of the film didn't appeal to viewers.

How do your respond to offers for films that come on your way?
I am very choosy about films. I don't want to rush through. I prefer to do one good film rather than doing 10 or 15 bad films. So, when any offer comes to me, I don't show unnecessary promptness to grab that. Rather I see the character, story line and then I consider if it is worth doing.
