The hype around the grand opening of Delhi’s first ‘super club’ came crashing when celebrities decided to give the launch of Quantum in Centrestage Mall, Noida, a royal ignore.
Hosted by restaurateur Manu Goswami, the do promised a long list of socialites as attendees, but in the end, had to settle with some PYT’s frolicking about. Actress Chitrangada Singh, the guest of honour, too, didn’t show up, citing stomach cramps as the reason.
As a result, actress Neetu Chandra had to be invited in a jiffy, to rescue the situation. The fashion show by Mumbai designer Rocky S was to begin at 9 pm, but started post midnight.
Yawns and bored glances ruled as the music just went on and on in a loop, while unknown guests, many of them kids of politicos and their friends, cosied up in corners. We hope the ‘super club’ does some super planning before throwing a bash the next time.
