More about himWarsi picked up his first electric bass at the age of 15. With a growing interest in jazz, his natural move was to take up the double bass. Four years ago, it seemed to be a very unpractical move, as there were no instruments or players in the city. However, with the help of a fellow musician, Warsi located an old double bass in the city. “I only know five other people in the city who play double bass,” he says. Warsi has spent some time learning bass under Bay Area bassist Joey Fabian. He also lived an year in Japan, where he played jazz at various clubs. Sample his tunes at www.soundcloud.com/warsi-sahil/
