When Mumbai queues up at polling booths tomorrow, Priyanka Chopra would be celebrating the holiday with her Scottish friend, Hollywood actor Gerard Butler, the star of films like 300 and Lara Croft: The Cradle of Life.
The actress has organised a bash at her residence, Raj Classic in Versova. Though Piggy Chops remained unavailable for comments, a source close to her revealed, “The party has been specially organised in honour of her videshi dost. As Butler is expected to leave the county on April 1 or 2, you could say this is his farewell party.”
The guest list includes her friends from the film fraternity — Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, Hrithik and Sussanne, John and Bipasha, Abhi-Ash, Imran and Avantika, Karan Johar, Madhur Bhandarkar, Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder. Shah Rukh will fly down from South Africa, as he is keen on casting his vote. And, of course, there will be Shahid Kapur.
Priyanka, incidentally, played the hostess and Shahid’s birthday party recently, so it’s just possible that he will return the compliment at her party.
It won’t be a theme-based party but a casual bash, more like a family get-together. This is quite apt, as the party could be seen as a reunion of friends.
