A US state senator has launched an advertising blitz telling youth to “raise your pants” as the growing trend of sagging jeans, originated from prison culture, is giving them a bad image.

The ‘Stop The Sag’ campaign by Eric Adams, a senator from Brooklyn, already on billboards in the city, shows two men in jeans that hang low enough to display their underwear, and has the tagline, “Raise your pants, raise your image”.
