British singer Cheryl Cole has confirmed that she has divorced footballer Ashley Cole. “We can confirm the divorce. We have no further comment,” read Cheryl’s post on Twitter.

Papers were lodged at the high court seeking a “quickie” divorce, said Cheryl’s representative. A report says that Cheryl will not claim ownership of their £6 million Surrey mansion and wants the divorce finalised soon.
