Bollywood titans Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan came together for the premiere of Raavan, in London on Wednesday evening.
While Big B was accompanied by the Bachchan clan — Jaya, Abhishek and Aishwarya — SRK came with wife Gauri and their kids Suhana and Aryan. Others who upped the event’s glam quotient included filmmakers Mani Ratnam and Gurinder Chadha and tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi.
Not only did Shah Rukh turn up for the event, he was all praise for the film afterwards. “Had a great time. U all have worked so hard & good in the film. Was a great evening. family over, have to get brownie points,” he tweeted. He also posted pictures with daughter Suhana before they left for the event. “Daughter has dressed me up for the premier...the lip balm is her favourite make up for me...i look like a handsome dad now.”
Abhishek Bachchan later thanked SRK for attending. “Thank you for coming! Love you,” he tweeted. While the fashion police really appreciated Ash’s graceful look — the Sabyasachi saree and retro hairstyle, some pointed out that her boat neck blouse could have avoided the floral embroidery. “Wish it was simple. Also, she could have held a small blingy clutch and not this black thing,” said a post on a fashion website.
