So Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan have been wanting to do a movie together.. and have even signed up for Tarun Mansukhani’s next, after Dostana. But it seems that’s not the only film the two buddies will be seen together in.
I’ve just been informed by Sher Lock Holmes that some Preya Arora and Subhash Singh – producers of Chaassni, a women-centric film, toplining Jaya Bachchan – have approached the duo for their next project.
According to Sher Lock bhai, the two friendly actors have both liked the story.. but there’s no signing the dotted line yet. Reason: the nirmatas were keen to cast Deepika Padukone, but Sher Lock bhai asserts that Kapoor wasn’t too gung-ho about her.
Itna hi nahin, the Kapoor lad was recommending Katrina Kaif’s name.. and insisting that the producers sign her up instead. Although the nirmatas approached her and even narrated the script, they didn’t agree to her remuneration of Rs 2 crore. So, Kaif declined to sign up for their project.
No wonder then that Ranbir isn’t signing up for it either, says Sher Lock bhai. He claims that the Kapoor lad has clearly told the producers that he’ll sign on only after Katrina’s inked the contract. Dunno what the other hero, Imran Khan, has to say about this. Or shouldn’t I ask?
