Relief for Sanjay Dutt

The Supreme Court has allowed actor Sanjay Dutt, convicted in the 1993 Mumbai serial blast case, to go abroad till January 10 next year.

The Supreme Court has allowed actor Sanjay Dutt, convicted in the 1993 Mumbai serial blast case, to go abroad till January 10 next year. The actor has to surrender his passport within a week of returning back to the country. The court passed the orders on a petition filed by the actor seeking the court’s permission to go abroad for shooting of a film till June 2012. Dutta, who was sentenced to six years’ imprisonment was granted bail in 2007.
