Tom Cruise, who has performed several bike stunts for his forthcoming movie Knight & Day, says that he loves motorcycle stunts the most. The actor says that though he enjoyed doing risky stunts with all kinds of vehicles in the film, he had a special love of the motorcycle stunts, for which he was intimately involved in the planning.
“Motorcycle stunts and chases in movies can be a lot of fun,” he says. “Top Gun was the first time I’d a motorcycle scene; it was followed by Days of Thunder and then the Mission: Impossible series. I had a lot of ideas for motorcycle stunts that I wanted to put in this film, stunts that I hadn’t been able to put in my other movies, and Jim (director) and I talked a lot about it — including stuff where Cameron [Diaz] was also a part”.
In the film, Cruise and Diaz have done a daredevil bike chase on a hot-red, super-nimble Ducati Hypermotard S with bulls. After the shot, Diaz said, “I wouldn’t have wanted to be on the back of a motorcycle with anyone other than Tom at that moment.”
