Actress Deepika Padukone, who’s been linked to Farhan Akhtar, Shahid Kapoor and most recently, liquor baron Vijay Mallya’s son Siddharth, is unfazed by all rumours. Deepika says she has learnt to accept the fact that all this comes with the work she does.
“It makes no difference to me because I know that I am leading a life I want. I understand that it comes with the work I do and I am fine with it. I am very happy with my life and the work I am doing,” Padukone said on a recent visit to the Capital to shoot for her new film, Break Ke Baad, co-starring Imran Khan.
According to gossip mills, Siddharth called Deepika the “good luck charm” for the Bangalore IPL team. But she refuses to take the tag. “I think if the team is playing well, the credit should go to all the players. It is very unfair to say that I am the lucky mascot and give me the credit,” she said. The actress, who is active on microblogging site Twitter, got a pleasant surprise recently when she was invited for a coffee date by none other than veteran actor Shammi Kapoor, 78, through the website.
“I’ve met Shammiji a couple of times and always felt this warmth from his side. Even his wife has been very nice to me. He was tweeting me and I didn’t even imagine that Shammiji would be on Twitter! I’ll have my coffee date with him when I go to Mumbai,” she said.

If girls are shown on the beach, you have to be realistic about it. It was required for this film, but it’s something I won’t do for any other film.”
