who has been promoted as actress Katrina Kaif’s look alike. “Katrina is far too beautiful to resemble me,” Zarine adds.
Zarine was born and brought up in Mumbai and lives with her mother and sister. “I was a chhota mota struggling model, deriving my livelihood as I’m the man in my house before I got this role,” says the debutant, often tagged as a ‘healthier version’ of Katrina. “Earlier, I was 55 kgs. But then I was asked to gain 10 kgs as the queens and princesses of that era never looked skinny,” says Zarine.
But isn’t her ‘looks’ the key to her stardom? “I met Salman like one of his biggest fans, but when I asked him for an autograph, he said, ‘sweetheart, it’s time for you to sign autographs’,” says the actress. “I just grabbed the role with bith hands.”
And the 21-year old is pretty comfortable romancing Salman who is almost double her age, whom she considers as her godfather. “I feel he is a God-sent angel who has changed my life,” says the starry eyed. And what about her reported affair with the star. “There is no affair,” says Zarine. “Whenever a movie comes, such reports are bound to appear.”
