Hollywood star Sandra Bullock has contacted family lawyers to fight for custody of her stepdaughter.

actress, whose husband Jesse James cheated on her with tattoo model Michelle 'Bombshell' McGee, has reportedly contacted legal representatives and will not affect her chances of getting custody of stepdaughter Sunny,

online reported.
"Infidelity has no bearing on custody. The most she can aim for right now is split custody, and a lot of that would have to be agreed by him," a US legal source said.
"Sandra is beside herself with worry. She thought she had the perfect marriage. Now she feels that she's at risk of losing everything. Sunny means the world to her. She loves that girl to death," a source close to the star added.
The actress has raised Sunny, Jesse's daughter from his former marriage to porn star Janine Lindemulder, as her own, but is now terrified the child's mother will use this opportunity to try and get back the visitation rights which she lost earlier this year after being jailed for tax evasion.
"Sandra and Sunny have a special bond. She raised her since before she could walk. She did everything for that girl and now it looks as if she's going to have to fight, even for visitation rights. It's heartbreaking," the source added.

The 45-year-old actress immediately left the home she shared with Jesse when the allegations emerged and has since told friends have told she is "devastated" by her husband's behaviour.
Motorcycle enthusiast Jesse has spoken publicly about the matter and admits he deserves "everything bad" which may come from his "bad judgement".
"There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me. It's because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way," he said.
