On Monday, July 22, it was Sanjay Dutt’s wife, Manyata’s birthday. And for the first time since they’ve been together, the couple was away from each other on her special day. But not being around his wife didn’t stop Sanjay from doing something nice for her. A source close to the couple reveals that while the two have been exchanging letters on a daily basis, this time around, Sanjay sent his wife a present.
The source says, “It was bothering him (Sanjay) that he couldn’t be with Manyata on her birthday. All these years, even if he has been busy shooting, he has always made sure that he is with her on July 22. Since he isn’t at home this year, he decided to write something special in the letter he sent her. He wrote a poem for Manyata expressing what he feels about her and that he misses her. He hasn’t written poetry in the past, so this was indeed special.”
The source adds that Sanjay even plucked a flower from the garden at Yerwada Jail, where he is currently serving his sentence, and sent it along with the envelope. Manyata received her gift on Saturday, July 20, and was overwhelmed.
Recently, there have also been reports of Sanjay being unwell. The source adds, “It’s been about two months since he’s been away from home and that has made him anxious. He was missing his home, wife and kids a lot, which is why his blood pressure fluctuated a bit. But he’s alright now.”
