Sanjay Dutt to attend fundraiser with jail authorities

Sanjay Dutt, who is undergoing a jail term at Yerawada jail in Pune, will participate along with the inmates in a fundraising event to be held at Balgandharva auditorium on September 26 in Pune.

Dutt will be among 50 members who will be participating in the event organised by the jail authorities to raise money for the prison department employees, said jail superintendent Yogesh Desai.

Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan and home minister RR Patil are likely to attend the cultural show featuring popular Hindi and Marathi songs. Asked about the security aspect, the official said that adequate arrangements are being made to bring and escort back the performing artistes to the facility.
