Actor Ameesha Patel strongly denies reports that she took offence at actor Sanjay Dutt for covering her up with a dupatta at filmmaker Rohit Dhawan’s wedding in Goa last week. The actor calls it a loving gesture on Dutt’s part, that got blown out of proportion.

“Sanju and I are rock solid. Clothes don’t change the foundation of a relationship. He is very protective about me when it comes to the films I do, what I get paid, the men I date, the clothes I wear. He treats me like Priya and Namrata (Dutt’s sisters).” While admitting that Sanjay did cover her up, Ameesha says that he did it out of love. “Some jealous people went and spread this rumour. Sanju has always been like this with me. He wants me to wear salwar kameez all the time. If he thinks I’m wearing a low neck jacket, he comes and pulls the zipper up. In fact, he thinks this industry is an awful place and I am too classy for it.”

Ameesha adds that as far as clothes go, she has always dressed sexy. “I’ve never been a conservative dresser. If I have the looks and body, then why not? I don’t sleep around for work,” she adds.
