Model-turned-actor Gauhar Khan is irked by reports that she underwent lip surgery for her new reality show, The Khan Sisters, which she stars in alongside sister Nigaar Khan. The show’s format, though indigenous, has being compared to that of the American series, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

“I don’t know what people get out of such sensationalism. It’s absolutely untrue that I have gone under the knife or had any surgery,” says Gauhar adding, “It was a temporary lip pluming, which doesn’t last for more than two hours. It can be done by anyone who wants to see how their lips would look if made fuller; but that’s not a surgery.”

The actor, however, wasn’t very pleased with the outcome of the pluming. “I called off the shoot. It was stalled for a couple of hours. To think that it made a sensational article makes me laugh,” she says.

Gauhar made her Bollywood debut with an item number in the film, Aan: Men At Work in 2004. Eventually she grabbed a prominent role in Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009) and recently in Game (2011). She was recently spotted shooting with producer Boney Kapoor’s son, Arjun in Lucknow, leading to strong rumours that she is playing a lead role in Ishaqzaade, with which Yash Raj Films wil launch Arjun, as well as Priyanka Chopra’s cousin, Parineeti.
