Quite unintentionally, the Metro has become a very visible site for imparting sex education to Dilliwallas. With men sniggering at the sight of these advertisements and women turning their eyes away, these visuals are certainly getting noticed.

Tripti Saxena, a student who travels on the Barakhamba Road-Pitampura stretch everyday, says, “I think it’s a fabulous idea as many youngsters travel in the Metro and most of us never got any formal sex education. Through these advertisements, people get aware of things like condoms and safe sex.”

Pooja Gupta, an IT executive who travels from Connaught Place to Rajouri Garden daily, says, “It’s a great space for such advertisements because parents really don’t discuss ‘these’ things with their young children.” Mallika Sharma, a Metro commuter, however, finds it a bit embarrassing. “I turned a blind eye on them. Then I saw a few guys reading the ad; I felt weird. But these ads speak about practicing safe sex and that’s good.”
