Given all the hype around the ‘size-zero’ trend, one would imagine that if an actress ‘has it’, she’ll be all too glad to ‘flaunt it’. Not Dia Mirza. Unlike Kareena Kapoor, Mirza doesn’t find is exciting. “I’ve been size zero for the last two years, but it doesn’t excite me at all,” says Dia. “I have tried to keep myself in a frame that looks good and maintaining it through yoga, stretching and breathing exercises.”

Known for her fashion sense, Dia’s mantra is actually quite simple: “Fashion is transient while style is eternal. It’s a cliché, but that’s the reality. Fashion is just something that somebody decides in one part of the world and everyone else follows. But, style is persona-driven.”

While the 28-year-old does not many films in her kitty, she doesn’t lack ways to keep her occupied, busying herself with painting, pottery or other arts. But, she is scared to put her work on display. “I am not ready. As a celebrity, whatever we do is open for judgment. I don’t know if I have the guts to put it in front of the world, open to criticism,” she says.

Unfortunately for Dia, three of her films — Alibaug, Johnny Mastana and Shoebite — are yet to see the light of the day at the box office. And, Alibaug is a flick she’s really hopeful for. “I worked with Mr Amitabh Bachchan as my father for the film. Instead of being intimidated, I was just excited about it,” she gushes.
