Shia LaBeouf has said that he has a ‘dark side’, and confessed to being ‘a ruffian’.
The Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps star, who is dating actress Carey Mulligan, has said that he could never be as squeaky-clean as other Hollywood stars. “I’ve never been like Zac Efron. I am a bit of an a**hole. I have a dark side. I’m a bit of a ruffian. I’ve never tried to be anything else. I was never educated properly because I got kicked out of every school,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted him as saying.
The actor also confessed that he only entered Hollywood because the large pay would help ease his family’s financial problems.
“Initially, it was all money driven. I didn’t give a s**t about arts. We were as broke as ba**s, so I just wanted to move my family into better digs,” he added. The 23-year-old also revealed he has banned himself from celebrity parties for the sake of his career as he doesn’t trust himself around alcohol.
