On your first trip to Kashmir, how true did you find the place to your imagination of Kashmir?
Actually, this is not my first trip to Kashmir. I have visited Kashmir with my family as a kid. More recently, I was here about two years ago for a golf tournament. This trip brought back memories of my childhood and was also a reminder of how beautiful Kashmir is.
You were always seen in a burqa on your sets in Kashmir. Why?
My role in the film required me to wear a burqa.
How peaceful did you find Kashmir?
I found Kashmir to be extremely peaceful. So much that in my Twitter updates and interviews, I recommended people to consider Kashmir for holidays. I know I will definitely come back with my family for a holiday.

I’d be honoured to. Kashmir is part of my childhood. My grandfather hails from here and it would be something that I would love to do.

Your tweet, “I will be back to civilisation”, ruffled many features. Was Kashmir that harrowing an experience?
Not at all. My very next tweet explained what I meant. What I said was that I’d be going back to my routine life which is all about work. Kashmir was a surreal experience, where I felt like I was in a fairyland. Going back to civilisation meant that I’d be going back from here into reality which isn’t as beautiful.
