As Barack Hussein Obama goes on to become the 44th President of the United States, HT City brings you all that is associated with the United States of America in Delhi — be it some place named after one of the former Presidents of America or a eating joint serving American delicacies.

The American Library The library at the American Center has a wide collection of books, mostly related to America. It has, among other items, a collection of 16,000 books and 150 periodicals, along side several American newspapers. And for those wanting to improve their English, there is an ESL corner, which provides audiovisual material for promoting English.They also lend CD ROMS and have internet facility. The All American Diner Classic burgers, malts, shakes and calorie rich dishes you associate with America are all available here. It also gives you a feel of America where an Elvis Wurlitzer juke box plays rock classics of 50’s and 60’s. Timings: 7 am to midnight.Where: IHC, Tel: 24682001-09.

Carter puri - Carter Puri in Gurgaon used to be a small village named Chuma Kheragoan. It was in 1978 when Jimmy Carter had visited this village with his wife Roselyen Carter that the village was rechristened Carter Puri.
