Perfectionist actor Aamir Khan’s debut on Twitter was not so perfect as his Twitter handle

. Apart from several publications and TV channels, even fans and celebrity friends of the actor got Aamir’s user name wrong. Some of the Bollywood celebs who fell prey to the fake account include actors Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra. That’s not all — they even posted welcome notes on the impersonator’s account, calling him Aamir.
The confusion only gained momentum when the media publicised the false account. Aamir's nephew and actor Imran Khan jumped in to clarify, and posted, “aamir_khan = real.” Priyanka, who had earlier tweeted the wrong ID, also directed all to go by the handle that Imran suggested. “So I'm confused… Just listen to Imran!!haha!," she tweeted.
So far, Aamir has just tweeted thrice, including reciting a couplet for Amitabh Bachchan. While Aamir, who’s only following Amitabh, has 50,000 followers, the impersonator also has over 6,000 followers.
