Though Munnabhai maker Vidhu Vinod Chopra is not going ahead with Munnabhai Chale Amerika right now, but he has surely decided to go international nevertheless.
Vidhu is making his directorial debut in Hollywood with Broken Horses and has even signed Golden Globe Best Actor winner and Oscar’s contender for The Wrestle, Mickey Rourke for the project.
According to the buzz, Broken Horses would be a gangster flick and the screenplay would be based on an original story by Chopra, Abhijat Joshi and script consultant Jason Richman will work on the script too.
Mark Johnson (of Chronicles of Narnia, The Notebook and Rain Man fame) is the executive producer of the film, and Chris Buchinsky (Hancock, Spiderman 2) is the story board artist. The film will be to be shot across New Mexico, New York and Albuquerque.
