A film shot in Delhi University’s Ramjas College has kicked up a storm. In a scene for the film Boyss To Boyss Hain, the actors — Anshuman Jha and Rajkumar Yadav of Love Sex and Dhoka fame, along with Dhruv Ganesh and Anuj Kumar — are perched on the wall with the college insignia, with boards in their hands that read, “Required A Virgin Girl,” with a phone number under it.

The College’s Principal, Rajendra Prasad says, “I condemn this. They never informed me that they were shooting this scene. I cannot encourage this kind of publicity in my campus. Moviemaking is a matter of art and I am not against art, but they should have done it in a different way. Maybe ‘I need a girlfriend or ‘I need a partner’ would have been fine, but ‘required a virgin girl’ is insulting to a woman and womanhood. I don’t know how this happened.”
The President of Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU), Jitender Choudhary, says, “It is a matter of shame that such a scene was shot in a college campus. The films they shoot here have all sorts of scenes. This should not be allowed. I will take it up with the authorities.”
Students of the college are divided on their reaction to the film’s publicity poster, which shows the sequence. Disha Dua, an ex-student of the college, says, “Not only will this hamper the reputation of the college, but also lower students’ morale. The masses will develop a preconceived notion about the students who study here.” Chirag Bhatt, a student of the college, says, “I’m okay with it.”
