"It is a new concept wherein people can buy clean and fresh meat, fish and poultry. The hygiene at the local butcher isn’t that great. Even the fish acquired from the local market might have been lying there for days. The freshness and hygiene of the food is suspect," says Vivan.

The first branch of Superfresh was opened in Bandra this month. However, he plans on setting up another one in Juhu within the next three months. Says Vivan, “We will also sell products that are not easily available in Mumbai like basa, salmon, caviar, mussel, tiger prawns and snails.” Ask him whether a few online stores that provide the same service in and around the suburbs will prove to be competition and he says, “But in our store you can check the products yourself. The personal experience counts.”
