It’s one of the nicest feelings in the world. If we were regular office goers, I’m sure no promotion would have felt as special as this one,” beams Neetu Kapoor, who has recently returned from daughter Riddhima Sahni’s baby shower in Delhi. “Riddhima is looking pretty and is handling it well. All of us are just praying that she and the baby are both healthy. I’m sure Rishi and I will make cool grandparents.”
Given that uncle Ranbir Kapoor is shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar in and around Delhi, will he be the first one to see the newest member of the family? Grandfather-to-be Rishi Kapoor says, “Naturally he will make it to the hospital before Neetu and I do. But if he doesn’t, then all of us would go together.”
With the Agneepath remake already on the floors, will Rishi Kapoor make it in time to have a first look at his grandchild? “Two weeks from now, I will be shooting for Agneepath. It’s a new character introduced in the script since it is a completely new movie. But even if the schedule is on, I will take a break to meet our little bundle of joy” he smiles.
The couple recently received an award each at the Max Stardust Awards for their performance in Do Dooni Chaar. Considering that Neetu wasn’t keen be part of the film initially, does she feel the risk has paid off and is she ready to take on more work now? “I don’t know if I will take on any new film immediately, unless I really like something. Otherwise, I have a lot on my platter to keep me busy, including Rishi and Ranbir’s work and Riddhima and my little grandkid,” she says. “Had it not been for Rishi and Ranbir, I don’t think I would have ever taken up this film either.”
