Ranveer Singh has consistently made news for his alleged relationship with co-star Anushka Sharma, ever since the two acted together in his debut film, Band Baaja Baraat (BBB, 2010). But the actor claims he’s reached a point where the constant speculation doesn’t affect him anymore.

“Anushka and I are both mature. What people write does not affect our equation,” he states, admitting, “When BBB had just released, it would bother me a lot, but now, I have stopped paying attention to it.”

The latest buzz is that Ranveer is now interested in Sonakshi Sinha, who he will appear opposite in Vikramaditya Motwane’s next, Lootera. But the actor quashes the rumours, simply saying, “We share a very professional relationship.”

Lootera is set in Bengal, and will see Sonakshi playing a Bengali girl. Is his character Bengali too? The actor chooses to keep mum, saying, “I have to hold back information about my character for some more time.”

He also insists that doing a period film so early in his career is not a risky move. “That kind of thought comes only from commercial concern, but that’s not how I make my career choices. If the script is as brilliant as Lootera’s, there is no doubt that I will do it,” says Ranveer.
