Model Katie Price’s second wedding to cage fighter Alex Reid was disrupted after police were called to control a massive brawl in which the bride was hurt.
The 32-year-old model-turned-reality TV star, who married Reid in Las Vegas in a quick ceremony in February this year, had arranged to celebrate their nuptials in their native UK on Saturday. But the wedding, held at St Paul’s Church in Surrey, England, landed in chaos when the bride arrived at the venue and well-wishers and snappers gathered outside clashed with security guards who attempted to push them back.
Price, also known as Jordan, was allegedly hit in the face when the crowd surged forward as she exited her vehicle. One fan was knocked to the ground and several photographers claim to have been forcefully pushed away by security. Connor Hambleton, 13, said, “It just all went mad. People were getting shoved out of the way... I fell and hit my head.”
“Katie was spooked and wanted to leave and go round the block after she was hit in the eye... She was scared. It took a while for the situation to calm down. She is shaken and upset by the incident,” said a spokeswoman for Price.
