The baby’s parents brought her for an audition after reading a newspaper ad, calling for an “infant star for a Bollywood film.”

Gopaul took the baby to another room to “check if she was comfortable with strangers,” and took off with her. The reason: She had lied to her long-distance boyfriend about having had their baby and he was going to visit.
