Yes, Hrithik Roshan was scratched, clawed and almost mauled. The reason is his beloved Grandpa J Om Prakash. Grandpa's blue eyed (or green-eyed in this case) boy was bruised when he got mobbed in a Dubai mall.

The actor had gone to the mall to buy his granddad a pair of glasses, but what he reckoned without the fact that it was a holiday and naturally the mall was really crowded. And on top of that, a lot of the junta even recognized the Guzaarish star and ended up mobbing the unsuspecting star reported Mid-Day.

Hrithik

"Duggu (Hrithik) is very close to his grandfather and always picks up stuff for him whenever he's travelling abroad. Last Saturday, while he was in Dubai, Hrithik wanted to buy a pair of sunglasses for his naana an exact copy of what he himself wears. The grandpa had admired it and the actor wanted to surprise him by buying it for him," a source told the tabloid.

But Grandpa Prakash is thrilled! Why? No, not just because he got chic pair of glasses but because he saw his little boy's popularity and that too in another country!

"I have never seen such a gorgeous beginning to a New Year. I witnessed Hrithik's popularity in a foreign country and it was a treat for me. Hrithik was mobbed in the malls of Dubai and I witnessed it as I was with him."

The indulgent granddad even overheard a family praising Hrithik's performance in Guzaarish and swelling with pride he told his grandson so, upon which Hrithik 'gave me that bewitching smile!' Aww!
