The film has been banned in the country, despite attempts of dropping Laden from the title for release there.

“There’s a positive buzz from the showing in UAE. People there were shocked by the ban as there’s nothing objectionable in the film,” Zafar says, adding that in Pakistan, too, people, are unhappy about the verdict.

“If anything, it’s made me a bigger star there,” he says. Buzz is that he’s planning to shift base from Pakistan to Mumbai. He rebutts, “A lot of quotes have been attributed to me, even though I never made them. I’m a nomad and will go anywhere work takes me. But, my first home will always be Lahore.”
