Whimsical and wacky is the new definition of parties. With innovative party accessories available, the party themes have swelled several notches parlaying into absolute absurdity. Beer on everyone’s mind
Every guzzler would love the idea of beer spewing out of their head and flowing into the mouth. Designed like a helmet, the beer headgear accommodates two beer cans. “The beer helmets are a hit among guys who party outdoor. We also get bulk orders for bachelor parties, house parties or sports nights,” shares Aditya Kapoor of Party Hunterz, a party accessories store. The beer helmet has two straws attached to the beer cans that let you drink and move about freely, without having to hold anything in your hands. Karan Vohra, 24, a graphic designer, who recently hosted a beer helmet party, says, “The idea of partying is to become lazy, and what better way to laze around than when you don’t have to bother to pour your drinks in a glass and keep refilling it.”

Whose wig is freakiest of all?
From a cool Afro and bubble perm inspired from Jimi Hendrix to multicoloured hair like Lady Gaga, bizarre wigs, especially in fluorescent hues, dominate this season’s party tress code. “We recently had a party where everyone wore an Imaad Shah inspired hairdo (an Afro),” shares Sareen, who is also getting orders for customised wigs. “They are designed to suit one’s personality, the occasion and the outfit,” she adds.

Cost of props for a funky theme party
A single beer helmet costs Rs 500.
The cost of a glow theme varies between Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 and includes glow lights, glow jewellery, glow tattoos and glow body paint.
You’ll shell out anywhere around Rs 500 to Rs 2,500 for a funky wig. A completely customised wig can cost around Rs 3,000.

Where to buy the accessories:
Party Hunterz, Kailash Colony
