1 The no-make-up, minimal look
Less is more this summer. Go for minimal, barely-there make-up for a clean day look. “Bare-faced beauty is all about letting your natural skin shine with the use of a rosier palette,” suggests make-up artist Kanchan Mehra. Top up with a sheen-high lip gloss for the evening.

2 A healthy glow to start off with
Get enough sleep and keep the skin hydrated. A natural glow is always in trend. “Drink lemon tea at night to detoxify. Apply a turmeric and gram flour (besan) paste or a semolina (suji) scrub to exfoliate, and prep it for make-up,” says beauty expert Aashmeen Munjaal.

3 Lavender and lilacs to highlight
Orchid hues highlight the eyes beautifully, a la Aishwarya Rai’s Cannes look. Opt for darker shades that work fine for a smokey look, or apply cool hues like soft plum, lilac, lavender on the eyelids, and you’ll be ready to turn heads.

4 Try different eyeliner looks
There’s a lot more to do with eyeliner than a conventional cateye or wings. One of the latest trends this season is the anti or reverse cateye where the tips are extended to the inner-corners. “It gives a sharp, angular look to the face and can be popped-up using bright colours,” suggests Munjaal.

5 Floral touch to the nails
“Nail colours inspired by nature in hues of rose pink, peach and sunny oranges are in trend. Also, nail art prints with miniature roses, bold polkas are easy to do at home,” Munjaal adds.
