The wedding season is here again, and one-stop exhibitions helping us to find all that we need for the big day are a huge draw, says Kirti Mehta.

The wedding season is here again, and one-stop exhibitions helping us to find all that we need for the big day are a huge draw. One such show is

Jalsa

, an exhibition celebrating The Great Indian Wedding. Come with a list and go home with a trousseau. The exhibition will be held at The Ashok hotel, Chanakyapuri, today and tomorrow.

On display will be pretty much anything you might need — a full wedding wardrobe from fashion labels; designer jewellery; gift packaging; exotic chocolates and luxurious spa products. Timsy Anand, the organiser of the exhibition, says, “This exhibition is meant to promote young talent, not only in fashion but in anything that is creative.” There are 75 participants from all over India and also a few from Pakistan.

Anand adds, “Within a short span of time,

Jalsa

has become a name to reckon with in the fashion fraternity. This is Jalsa’s third exhibition and the response has been phenomenal.” For Anand,

Jalsa

is more of a passion than a profit-making venture. Giving a platform to creativity is her main aim, she says. Over these two days, the likes of Vinita Pittie, Neeta Bhargava, Ragini Singhania, Airra, Yellow Stone, Aarti Mittal, Chandni Rai, Sejal Kanoi, Colorbar, OSE, Radhika Gupta, Aakarsshan, Paridhi, Navya Naveli, Aswera, Cheemo, PC Jewellers and Renu Tandon will be showcasing their designs.
