Alia Bhatt and Shilpa Shetty Kundra proved that whether it’s a sexy saree-inspired gown or a show-stopping anarkali-inspired maxi dress, there’s nothing like wearing a yellow look on a rainy day.

Every season has a breakout colour: Remember how everyone was so obsessed with wine and ‘greenery’ in 2017? For 2018, the new It-shade is breaking through our black and grey go-tos like the sunshine we’re all craving. Yellow is having a moment and stars, like, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Neha Dhupia, Manushi Chhillar, Sonam Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan are the ones to thank.

Kareena is leading the way and wearing everything from sarees and lehengas to gowns, in canary, mustard, golden and lemon.

Meanwhile, at politician and businessman Praful Patel’s daughter Poorna’s starry Mehendi function, Shilpa went all-out. The reality TV judge is never one to shy away from yellow and a pale yellow is another that Shilpa wears and wins.

Shilpa didn’t hold back choosing a luxe saree-inspired belted gown by designer Manish Malhotra. Shilpa’s bedazzling strapless look was pretty and demure and works so well. Note how even her emerald and diamond jewellery from Mahesh Notandass Fine Jewellery sparkles. Think head-turning.
