What are the most essential make-up items according to you?
A good foundation is a must. Some blush, to create contrast and sculpt the face, is also important. Mascara and black kajal should be used to give some depth to the eyes, and always keep a balm handy to keep your lips moisturised.

What is the one make-up item that a woman should always carry with her?
Mascara! In my opinion, it is the absolute weapon of seduction and femininity.

What is in vogue at the moment — glossy lipsticks or matte varieties?
Matte lipsticks; they offer that subtle touch for a chic and elegant look.

One piece of beauty-related advice you would give a woman?
This may sound surprising, but please, do not choose your make-up according to your eye colour, hair colour, or even what you are wearing. Ask yourself the right thing: what kind of a woman do you want to embody? Follow your instincts, and your spontaneity. Feel free to dare.

What have been the hottest make-up trends this summer?
The focus is on the eyes. The inspiration are those ’70s, hippy music festival-inspired sculpted eyes with a lot of mascara. A fuchsia lipstick and a pink eyeshadow palette are being preferred too.

What is the best way to remove make-up?
These steps are important and require delicacy. Start with your eyes and your lips with a soft oil-based cleansing lotion. Then, clean your face with a micellar lotion. I prefer using a cleansing lotion, which is even lighter than milk. A touch of thermal water on the face is also required to refresh the face. Then end your routine with a good moisturiser.

One definite no-no when it comes to wearing make-up?
Avoid demarcations; for that, you must blur textures and merge your products properly.
