Arjun Rampal walks the ramp for Rohit Bal

At the off-site show in Tote on The Surf, actor Arjun Rampal, the show stopper for the evening, wore a T- shirt bearing the word ‘Hero’ under his jacket as opposed to the ‘Show Stopper’ in Delhi.

Jasmine flowers, after making a strong statement at the recently held Synergy1 India Couture Week in Delhi, once again spread its sweet fragrance in form of an exquisite collection put together by designer Rohit Bal on the opening day of Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai on Tuesday evening.

At the off-site show in Tote on The Surf, actor Arjun Rampal, the show stopper for the evening, wore a T- shirt bearing the word ‘Hero’ under his jacket as opposed to the ‘Show Stopper’ in Delhi. Bal’s ability to produce a well thought out, finely crafted and innovatively put together collection was once again seen on the fashion runway.

The designer showed the audience what it takes to make high end creations through his tastefully embroidered pieces put together in a manner in which only a few can. Silhouettes were large and flowy, colours were a perfect blend on a muted canvas laden with creative techniques.

In menswear, velvet embroidered jackets stole the show. Mumbai’s fashion lovers came in full attendance to watch the show.
