Bipasha Basu will walk the ramp at Juhu’s Novotel Hotel on August 25 for good friend Nimish Arora’s Dicitex Furnishings. Winner of this year’s Emerging India Award, the leading lifestyle brand, one of the country’s largest exporters, will tie up with over a 100 retailers in India to sell its home furnishings in the catalogue format. The entire range will be available at the stores of channel partners in the way that it’s done in Europe, with chains like Marks & Spencers and Zara.
The fashion show, for which leading models like Candice Pinto and Tamara Moss will also walk, will flag off the brand’s countrywide launch.
For five years, Basu has figured high on Dicitex Furnishings’ clientele list, along with other Bollywood celebrities like Bobby and Tanya Deol and Sameera and Sushma Reddy. The Deols and the Reddys will be among the guests that evening, along with actor Kunal Kapoor who flagged off the brand at the Oberoi Mall two months ago. Sushma had inaugurated the outlet at the R- City Mall earlier this year.
“We have invited 200 retailers from across the country, and top hoteliers like for the gala,” informs Arora. He adds, “Bipasha will be the showstopper and make a red carpet entry on the New York set that will be a colourful riot of bold checks, trendy stripes and art décor furniture. In contrast to the contemporary chic, is the Victorian set with its classic Italian styles and affordable fabrics that other top models with showcase.”

Following this event that will increase the visibility of Arora’s home furnishing brand in India’s corporate and retail world, he will announce a brand ambassador for which he is in talks with a star couple and a couple of Bollywood A-listers.
