After Tarun Tahiliani, Varun Bahl brings his Delhi Couture Week collection to Mumbai. It will be showcased at Aza today and tomorrow.

The designer will also be in Mumbai. “As a Delhi-based designer, I always get a better response when I come to Mumbai,” he says. “People here make the effort to come to my show or exhibition. In fact, people were eager to see the collection the next day, but some garments needed to be retouched, so it took us a while to bring them down.”

Bahl admits that since wedding trousseau and bridal entourages form the core business for a couturier, his favourite part is designing for an entire wedding. “I love creating ensembles for the whole family,” he explains. “I get very involved in the detailing and planning, right down to the accessories everyone should wear.”
