They’re trying it all — getting Aamir-like six pack abs, male cleavage and Shah Rukh’s dimples to ‘designer vaginas’ and lighter and enhanced butts. And the surgeons couldn’t be happier. “Girls and guys between the age 20-30 demand such surgeries. Last week, I did a dimple creation surgery on a boy who was fascinated by Shah Rukh Khan’s dimples. Then, a model came for butt pigment reduction to avoid revealing a dark butt while wearing a bikini. She spent Rs 1.5 lakh on the surgery,” says Dr Anup Dhir, Plastic Surgeon at Apollo Hospital.

“Pectoral and calf augmentation through silicone implants is popular among men,” says Dr PK Talwar, cosmetic surgeon, Max Hospital. Neeraj Singh, 27, who got a bicep implant, says, “We idolise film stars with perfect bodies. What’s wrong in getting bodies like them?”

Dr Seema Malik of Eleganza clinic says, “Reduction of crow feet through botox is quite popular. Each sitting costs between Rs 10,000-15,000. Women have also started going in for permanent make up, which costs between Rs 10,000-13,000. Beard shaping and facial hair reduction through laser therapy is in demand among men. It costs about Rs 5,000 per sitting.”

But body sculpting has gone beyond looking good, to enhancing sexual pleasure. “Thirty to forty per cent of my female clients between 25-35 years of age, are coming for Labioplasty (surgically enhancing or reducing the clitoris) to enhance sexual pleasure,” says Dhir. “Girls between age 25-32, come for hymenoplasty (surgically creating the hymen and tightening the vagina) before marriage,” says Dr PK Talwar, cosmetic surgeon, Max Hospital, who conducts at least one such unconventional surgery a month.

Dr Dinesh Kansal, senior consultant gynecologist, BL Kapur Memorial Hospital, says, “About three patients every month go in for augmentation of the G-spot to get a more intense and deeper orgasm.” Says Archana Tamang, manager in one of the Delhi’s A-list hotels, who went in for labioplasty, “The need to change the appearance of my sex organ was both physical and psychological. It helped me enjoy love-making with my partner.” The treatment cost her Rs 80,000.
