Indian fashion once again got some global flavour, when Indian American actor Janina Gavankar wore a Gaurav Gupta dress to the Grammy awards red carpet function, held earlier this month. The 31-year-old actor, more famous for appearing in the hit TV series Grey’s Anatomy, wore a white mermaid dress to the high glam event.
Delighted at the fact that Gavankar wore his dress, Gupta says, “Janina is a perfect choice for this dress. She is strong, vivacious, confident yet magnanimously feminine. I’m glad she wore the dress, she looks stunning in it.’’
The pristine white form-fitting dress mermaid dress had pretty lace work with three dimensional embroidery, and looked appropriate for the red carpet gala evening. Janina kept the accessories minimal and just painted her pout red, letting the dress be the star of the evening.
