Designer: Anju Modi
Known for: Bridal wear
Review: Anju Modi's presentation of Indian wear was a perfectly executed collection with the designer weaving velvets strategically through her presentation. The use of this fabric was so well done along with surface detailing placed in strategic formats that the collection looked chic yet traditional in spirit. The lehengas, with combinations like bridal red with a virginal white were something worth noting.

Designer: Adarsh Gill
Known for: Couture bridal wear
Review: Adarsh Gill’s debut show at the couture week had an interesting mix of Indian and western creations. Beautifully embroidered, her presentation had the feel of ethereal beauty. Embroidery was subtle, yet elaborate and blended well with both Indian and western silhouettes.

Designers: Shantanu-Nikhil
Known for: Cocktail couture
Review: Shantanu-Nikhil chose to present their collection called ‘Perfume’ that had a whiff of elegance in terms of Western touch and a fair sprinkle of Indian silhouettes. Saris that were contemporary, cocktail saris so to say, gowns, etc had that mix often needed to make the collection stand out on the runway. There were colours like chocolate brown and black that showed an ethereal glamour. The collection was also interpersed with flowy, light lehengas in colours like lemon yellow matched with a grey. The dark lips stood out on models.

Designer: Manish Malhotra
Known for: Chiffon saris
Review: Manish Malhotra by now has increased his market share in Delhi and this was seen from the response that he got from the audience when he presented his Indian collection. His show also marked the first entry of traditional Indian menswear on this season's fashion runway. His creations were fluid, elegant and voluminous with surface of garments having embroidery as well as clean areas leaving the garments plenty of breathing space
