This season’s make-up trends are out. Put your best face on with tips from Bollywood’s favourite make-up artistes

The stars have readied their make-up arsenal to make sure they’re looking flawless on the red carpet.M.A.C’s Vimi Joshi, a favourite of style-savvy Sonam Kapoor, has also helped create the recently launched M.A.C. trend report for summer make-up.

The fresh dewy look for day, frequently seen on Kapoor, is highlighted for summer. Think barely-there tints on lips and cheeks- salmon pink, taupe and peach.Test this — White eyeliner will save you from looking droopy-eyed no matter how late you partied. Just run a little on the inner rims of your lower eye-lid and nobody will know you missed your beauty sleep.

Bollyglam “Deepika carries nude and glam equally well. She and Genelia D’Souza have mid-tone skin, matched with bouncy hair and dewy make-up,” explains Cory Walia, who recently prettied up Freida Pinto for her appearance at Lakme Fashion Week.

“Make-up with yellow or orange undertones match warm Indian skin tones.” Walia also encourages buying coral or red lipstick even if you’ve never imagined yourself in it before. “For the night, try deep burgundy, the kind found in the center of a red rose. The blackish undertones add glamour,” he explains.

“Kangana Ranaut and Katrina Kaif pull it off well.” Another favourite — recently shorn Diandra Soares whose new look has everyone buzzing. “Now that she’s shaved her head, she looks even more deadly with her coal eyes,” he says. Test this — Instead of using a black or brown eye shadow to get the smoky eye effect, try navy blue or aubergine.
