The Right Pose
Be in your skin
"A lot of time people try to pose as someone they are not. Give out genuine emotions. Smile real," says Anand Rathi, of KnotInFocus.
Trust your photographer
"More often than not, only your photographer gets to see what is going on behind the lens. Give your photographer the creative space to shoot in his/her style. Be as non-interruptive as you can be," says Rathi.
Never pose flat
"Posing straight makes your shoulders and body look broader. Turning a bit side-ways will make you look better," says Rishabh Agarwal, wedding photographer.
Master your pose
"Bend one knee slightly and put the weight on one leg instead of two, to improve body posture. As a rule of thumb, if there’s a joint, bend it," says Agarwal.

Matching jewellery=boring:
"Wear bright colours in your jewellery, such as coloured gemstones, to add more hues to a photo. Contrast the colour in your clothes with your jewellery," says Alpana Gujral, jewellery designer.
Wear a statement piece
"Try to keep jewellery down to one or maximum two pieces, which is close to your neck. Too many unmatched jewellery pieces cause a cluster around the neck that can make you look uncomfortable and bulky in pics," says Ambika Pillai, beauty expert.
Right jewellery
"Wrong jewellery for your face can make you look funny in your pictures. If you have a small forehead, don’t choose a matha patti but a nice tikka. Choose your nath according to the size of your lips and face," says Pillai. "Choose the right necklace length, to complement your outfit and frame your face. A bride is meant to be done up elaborately; but try to accentuate your best features with jewellery, to get dramatic results," says Gujral.
Avoid too shiny pieces
"Flash from the camera reflects straight from the shining stones of the jewellery and can ruin the photographs. Now it can’t be eliminated entirely, but can be minimised by not over-doing the jewellery at your wedding.

"Camera sees differently than our eyes. Lot of sparkling makeup is just going to look like a layer on top of your face. It will also reflect camera light and the result could be disastrous," says Agarwal.
Smudge-free makeup:
To have the same look in all your wedding pics, you need to make sure your makeup is smudge-free. Use an eye shadow primer, a waterproof mascara and an oil-free foundation.
What to avoid:
Too much of black eye-makeup can make you look scary in the pics. Remember, it’s not Halloween but your wedding! Also, make sure there is no lipstick on your teeth, as it will spoil your smile.
