Whether you wear your hair in curls, poker straight or the sexy, unkempt fly-always, there’s always a way to make the sweep work. But you do need to know your right side. So, experiment and decide which side does full justice to your looks. The style looks great on the red carpet and works equally well for a relaxed day outing too.

Get the sweep right
Bring your hair over to one side and blow dry. (This shouldn’t be the side you want to sweep your hair). Blow drying the hair the opposite side will add more volume. Now gather your hair the other side and secure with a pin. Use some hairspray to settle your hair. Accessorise with jeweled bobby pins or flowers.

Curls on the side
For side-swept curls, divide your hair into medium-sized sections. Curl each section with curling tong. When your entire hair is curled, brush out the curls with your fingers softly. Pull your hair over your shoulder on one side and finish with hairspray.
