Cameron Diaz revealed on Tuesday that she was overcome with emotion when a hairdresser chopped several inches off her signature blonde locks by mistake late last year.
The 39-year-old actress admitted on The TonightShow with Jay Leno that her friend, who has cut her hair before, was shocked into tears too.
“''There was a little misunderstanding. I said, ‘Oh I just want a little bit off'' ... and it went from here to here,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
Upon seeing her new style, the Knight and Day star was so upset that she burst into tears.
“''I just burst into tears and started crying, and I felt so vulnerable. For a woman to all of a sudden have no hair, oh my god,” she said.
The ‘What To Expect When You’re Expecting’ also said that the situation was more awkward because the stylist was a friend.
“''I felt really bad, she felt really bad, she started crying, I started crying, a couple of other people started crying. I ended up writing her a few emails after, the next couple days, assuring her I wasn’t going to kill her,” she added.
She even confessed that she had been getting DIY treatments on her tresses for many years instead of paying huge amounts at Hollywood salons.
