Mahira Khan made her Cannes Film festival red carpet debut on Monday. But she has been looking elegant and, best of all, weatherproof, wearing a series of summer-friendly looks off the carpet. Read on to see what the actor has worn at Cannes so far.

At Cannes Film Festival 2018, there have been numerous stylish actors vying for the title of ‘red carpet queen’. We’ve been in total awe of the way Deepika Padukone manages to effortlessly switch from goth glam to casual chic while fawning over Aishwarya Rai’s punk princess-inspired gows with dramatic trains and the all-over sequined jumpsuit and saree Kangana Ranaut wore.

Aside from these three ladies, there is a fourth stylish celeb who is absolutely slaying at the annual film festival — Mahira Khan, who walked the Cannes red carpet for L’Oreal Paris on Monday, wearing a strapless black taffeta gown by Alberta Ferretti with Chopard jewellery for the screening of BlacKkKlansman.

The Pakistan-born actor and first-time attendee is in the South of France to represent L’Oréal. And it’s not surprising that Mahira’s outfit choices at Cannes (like, casually taking a stroll in this Nicolas Jebran gown post Monday’s Chopard party) are incredible and also showcase her demure style.

With her Cannes looks, Mahira has been proving that maintaining a sophisticated look while staying cool is a challenge, but it is far from impossible. The actor has been looking elegant and, best of all, weatherproof wearing a series of summer-friendly looks, including a strapless white floral Blumarine maxi dress. So cute.

Though each of Mahira’s outfits has been different, they’re all united by a refined and restrained colour palette. Whether her streak of perfect summer dresses will continue through the rest of her Cannes days remains to be seen — but judging by her Instagram post on Monday in a seriously chic and sophisticated blush saree by Karachi-based designer label Menahel and Mehreen (pictured above), she’s probably got a few more great looks on the horizon.

1. Mahira’s ivory-hued crossover bustier and matching high-waist, harempants set accessorised with a vibrant floral-print kimono is too gorgeous for words. We know we can always count on the stylish actor to teach us new effortless ways to sneak in a pop of brightness, even into the most neutral look. She posted pictures of her look on Saturday.

2. Arresting and unexpected, the beauty of Mahira’s pyjama-esque floral coordinated pant and shirt from from Leonard Paris is they make a statement and look luxe. A cosy-meets-classy combination like this is certain to be a conversation starter at any event. Mahira looks so loungey chic it hurts.

3. Mahira showed how a bright top and wide-leg pants are perfect to show off your shoes and we don’t know if our fangirling hearts can take it. She opted for a more put-together yet trendy look on Sunday, wearing a pair of wide-leg black pants and matching black Louboutins. But rather than finishing off her look with something you’d expect, like a crop top, Mahira wore a statement sunflower yellow-hued blouse with a long and flowy cape sleeve.
