“I land in India on August, after which there isn’t enough time to get the collection for the fashion week together. This would have been my debut collection for Menswear Week, and I didn’t want to make any compromises,” Malhotra further reasons.

FDCI president Sunil Sethi confirms the news. “Manish has requested to drop out. He wanted to know if it would hamper the event in any way. But, we want him to do his best and if he’s not ready, it is okay,” he says.
