Michelle wore the J Mendel armour jacket with silver embroidery to the pre-Olympics opening ceremony reception at Buckingham Palace on Friday, teaming it with a white-pleated skirt.
Her expensive pick may have irked some at a time when other celebs such as Kate Middleton are repeating outfits for the sake of austerity, but others feel differently. “She is being who she is, so why question the price of her outfit?,” says designer Rina Dhaka.
Michelle also showed her free-wheeling spirit when she allowed wrestler Elena Pirozhkova to lift her up during training.
